Tor Coatings conducted a site survey to thoroughly test the existing substrate and ensure any recommended system was fully compatible. This project required extensive preparation to the existing surfaces to a standard that will optimise the finish.

RC700 Unicover Ultra was specified for the roof and external vertical cladding, with RC430 Unicover W specified for the internal cladding. The client required an insurance backed guarantee for all works and, along with the surveyor, liked the fact we surveyed the project and supplied a full list of Tor approved contractors. The main contractor for this project has worked many times with our Tor systems.

Prior to installation all areas were thoroughly power washed and some areas of midlaps were trimmed back and replaced. RC145 Elastaseal Z metal primer was applied to all bare metal. Midlap ends needed to be cut back and replaced with a 300mm strip of new cladding. All skylights needed to be replaced with new in-line polycarbonate versions.

The Unicover systems provide long-lasting protection for up to 15 years with Tor Coatings carrying out regular maintenance with 1 year, 5 year and 10 year inspections to ensure all areas are well looked after.
