Tor Coatings conducted a site survey on Rutherford Tower which involved thoroughly testing the existing substrate to ensure any recommended system was fully compatible.

Unicover EMF was specified as the ideal product for Rutherford Tower.  This single pack, breathable elastomeric water based coating system os designed for high performance decoration and waterproofing of exterior masonry such as cement, concrete and cementitious renders. The system’s high elasticity and high solids content permits effective bridging of hairline cracks and imparts excellent breathability without flaking or cracking. Unicover EMF has a high level of resistance to biological attack and early resistance to rain, which could provides an excellent barrier to water penetration for Rutherford Tower.

The system was professionally applied by Bridgegap Limited, who are a trained Tor Partner. This partnership allowed Tor to provide the client with a 10 year Latent Defects guarantee covering both the product and its application.

In addition to the comfort of having a 25 year BBA accreditation, the system provides flexible, durable, long-lasting protection for up to 10 years before first full maintenance.
