Tor Coatings conducted a site survey to thoroughly test the existing substrate and ensure any recommended system was fully compatible. This project required extensive preparation to the existing surfaces to a standard that will optimise the finish.

The Unicover Ultra S system, including EdgeProtect cut edge corrosion system, was specified to ensure that the roof and cladding sheets were protected and the cut edge corrosion was halted with a durable, high performance 15 year system.

The works were undertaken by TMS Contractors, who jet washed the roofs and cladding, mechanically abraded all of the cut edge corrosion to remove failed coatings and surface corrosion and then primed all of the bare areas. The roof and cladding sheets were then coated with two coats of Unicover Ultra S, a high-performance, moisture-triggered coating system.

The project will be inspected at 12 months to ensure the guarantee requirements are met, and then at 5 yearly intervals.
